Guerrilla Marketing and search engines?
I started a design company specializing in wedding invitations, baby announcements, and corporate design. My site is up (www.milesquaredesign.com) but not really register on yahoo or google. I have also put some flyers in the city and I have also found some free internet advertising (like craigslist). Need more ideas to spread the word to my company is cheap or free! All ideas welcome!
You need to optimize your site for the search engines can read the content. Only after a first look, I realized that the whole site is built images … that there is no text or copy. This is a huge mistake. Spiders only pick up a copy of what your site is not reading at all. You definitely need a copy a web page, this is the first page a spider go. There are more than many ways to optimize your website. I can not explain everything here, and usually have to pay someone to do this type of analysis. You can do it yourself though. Also, if you have a marketing budget, spending money doing searches payment. An integrated approach to paid search and organic plan will bring the best results. You do not have to spend a lot with google or yahoo. Just do your research. There are many different ways to advertise that they are effective and cheap, you only need to research and be creative.
